Rather than asking teams to interpret a general forecast on their own, the Nexus platform helps teams understand when, where, and how weather could affect their specific assets and operations. We support businesses across aviation, hospitality, marine, municipalities, transportation, and more.

Role Summary

As Nexus's first dedicated post-sales hire, you will blend strategy and execution to own the complete customer lifecycle from contract close through expansion. You will proactively drive customer value, turn customers into champions, and build our foundational post-sales operations from the ground up.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Success & Value Realization: Help customers define, track, and enhance their data-driven ROI. Conduct regular check-ins and strategic reviews.
  • Onboarding & Adoption: Lead a structured onboarding experience, establish activation milestones, and ensure customers achieve a defined first win.
  • Health Management: Define and monitor account health metrics from usage signals, support activity, and engagement patterns.
  • Voice of the Customer: Surface patterns, flag risks, and advocate for what customers need back into product development.
  • Renewal Ownership: Own the renewal calendar across all accounts; initiate renewal conversations with sufficient lead time.
  • Expansion: Identify and qualify expansion opportunities and carry them through to close.
  • Playbook Building: Document the first iteration of CS and AM playbooks — onboarding, health frameworks, escalations, expansion strategies.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years in a customer-facing post-sale role (CS, account management, client services)
  • Demonstrated experience building playbooks or processes from scratch
  • Proven renewal and expansion ownership with accountability to retention targets
  • High comfort operating in ambiguous, early-stage startup environments
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience

Preferred

  • Hybrid CS/AM experience in B2B SaaS
  • Technical domain experience in data-intensive or operationally complex environments
  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot, Pendo.io, or Claude AI
  • Previous experience as the first post-sales hire at a fast-growing startup
